Thanks Simkiss....

I just wanna make sure I can use the dd-wrt.v24_mini-netgear.bin file on the
V1 router via web interface because all I can find is info on flashing here http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=15740&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
which seems way more risky than the info in this thread for V2.

Has anyone reading been able to use the methods described in THIS thread on V1?

Thanks guys

I should have the resistors to add to the board in a couple of days.

Can someone give a step by step on what to try after I get them soldered on to see if it worked? I am going to build an unbuffered Xilinx jtag cable to try this out.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm running dd-wrt.v24-9396_NEWD_openvpn.bin. I'm having some performance problems however. The maximum speed i'm getting in a N-only evironment is ~5MByte/s. I've tried setting the channel width to 40MHz and tried playing with the "wide channel" control, but to no avail. What does "wide channel" do anyway?
My client is a MacBook Pro with its internal Atheros AR5008 card.
Does anybody have some tips for me how to tune the performance?

Not I. I'm still on 9370 and am waiting for someone else to report back success on 9396 first. :-)

Is anchorfree service in the dd-wrt.v24-9396_NEWD_openvpn.bin? if so is it working?

Ditto to the above. I see it in 9396, but haven't tested it yet. Screenshot attached.

I tried 9414 (dd-wrt.v24_std_generic.bin) and it bricked my router. I had to TFTP back to the original Netgear firmware to get it running again.

Well, no luck. I added the 4.75k resistors but still can't seem to get the jtag working on this. I hate to think this thing is a paper weight now. If anyone has any other advice I would really appreciate the help. The router seems to be stuck, when I power it up I get about 4 ping responses then it stops responding. tftp is not working, it just times out after about a minute. When I plug it in the power LED is amber and the wireless LED is very dim. Thanks

Has anyone identified the serial port on this router? Is it possible to reflash through the serial port?
