The Netgear FWAG114 (like pretty much every other Netgear product) is not on the supported list of hardware.
The thing is, the components are very similar to various revisions of the WRT54G.
The FWAG114 is a great router, with ABG wireless and some great features in Netgear's firmware, but I would like to be able to use QoS and other features of the DD-WRT firmware.
Does anyone know why DD-WRT has not been ported to products like this?
Netgear's website hints at this box using vxworks. Could I maybe use the VXWorks killer strategy for the WRT54G v5? If Netgear uses encrypted firmware like Buffalo, would I have to use this in tandem with the "powercycle and immediately tftp the firmware to the factory default IP address" strategy?
I would really like to just be able to run DD-WRT on this router. It is great hardware, with the ABG radio and everything, and I already own it!

I'm also interested in adding dd-wrt on my fwag114. I'm willing to sacrifice my router for the greater good to add support for this device.
After opening the router, it looks like it's using a Broadcom BCM4702KPB controller with two Atheros MiniPCI wireless adapters(one is a atheros AK5212 chipset cant identify the other).
Any help in getting this train moving would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply Eko. In your opinion, what method would be the best way to flash the firmware onto the router? Should I make or use a Serial, JTAG, USB or Ether cable to interface with the router or can I go through the web client and upload dd-wrt from there?

Update... I just tried flashing it via tftp and I believe the flashing failed(waited 20 minutes for it to clear but it didn't). I'm willing to give something else a try. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Thank you very much for the help Sash, but I tried flashing the router with the ROM that Eko linked me to and the router is now non-responsive. I assume that I can create a JTAG or serial cable to correct this but I'm unable to find the solder points on this device. If I can't finagle some info from Netgear, then I'm just going to stick with my Buffalo whr-hp-g54's to play with.

There's a bank of 20 pins labeled JP1(jumper I'm assuming) and there is another area labeled SW1 where I think that belongs to a switch that never made it into the production model.
What would be the best way to test and see if any of these pins or solder points are JTAG connectors?
