Hello
i am trying to get JTAG working on La Fonera.
I am using URJtag http://urjtag.org/
But it seems that i need some Peeks and Poke (like on old 8bit Machines) to get the Software working with the Flash of the la Fonera. Is anyone interested to help me? I have build a german Wiki Page with some Details.
http://wiki.freifunk-hannover.de/DebrickLaFonera
If you need translation on that please write me a PM.
Maybe it is also possible to Flash LaFonera with a SPI Interface which are used with Microcontrollers.

TIA and Best Regards

I'm interested about it!!! take a look at my topic http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27085

for your knowledge there is another boy who started to similar project. He's working on tjtag (that works in DOS) it seems to me more simple that urjtag. So I prefer his solution, but may be that a solution from you can help him in his goal. He ported the atheros driver into tjtag but is working to spi support. I'd like to help you in your job but the only thing that I can do is the beta tester because I don't know programming.

May be that you know them, but I send to you some usefull link about M25Pxx used on foneras and other boards as you can read in my topic.

The problem is lack of feedback, and testers, need correct jtag pinouts, etc...

yes: Jtag Tornado modifications recognizes the chipset Atheros. It is a very good new for me because now I'm sure for the jtag pinouts on the tested
boards.

Hi,

Why not try one of these:

http://www.usbjtag.com/usbjtag.php
http://www.usbjtag.com/jtagdevices/wrt54gsv6.php

They are a bit/alot faster I've been told, at least it's true for the Linksys Routers/Broadcom Routers.

They should be similar, except the config file used, they even have a video on the wrt54gs:

http://www.usbjtag.com/pafiledb/index.php?act=view&id=74

It seems pretty flexible, you only need to properly edit/change the "usbjtag.def" file for different boards.

only edit? If I knew the differences from parallel eprom and serial one, and If I knew programming, I would try to make tjtag working alone. Do you think you can edit the file.def to programm atheros with serial eprom? Please do it!

I was referring to the usbjtag cable. They use a unique set of drivers and programming utility. I'm hoping to replace many of my serial & parallel stuff w/ usb stuff. I've since replaced all my serial-ttl cables with vista compatible versions. jtag is a totally different story. Commercial jtag stations are VERY expensive!

Yes I have undertood you. Sorry for my english I need to write more and more times to transmit my thought. You did mean usbjtag: ok, but i asked to you if with it I can programm devices with atheros and serial eprom mounted. Do that usbjtag support it?
