Looking for the cheapest thing I can find to turn into a wireless bridge for getting an Xbox 360 wireless.
The official adapter is $90 and I know I can do it much cheaper.
It would have to be available for sale in the US, so at the moment that rules out Buffalo (I think?)

Any ideas?

Well yes. That much is obvious, that's why I posted on the dd-wrt forum!

Since the forum is headed "Search & Find, Sales & Offers" I was Searching for a Sale or Offer. Rolling Eyes

I have not had any luck finding any of the routers listed in http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Supported_Devices
particularly cheaply, especially now that Buffalo have been banned from selling in the US.

Try craigslist. I've picked up several linksys wrt54g for under $10 to 20. And you can get the linksys 7dbi antenna on ebay for around $20 shipped. This combination will makes a very nice wireless bridge.

By the way, this is what I use on my Blu-ray player.

Isn't the problem with the Linksys that only certain hardware revisions will work?
Not many people post that sort of thing on eBay or Craigslist, and if they do they know what they've got and want more for it Wink

Yes. So, you make your offer based on hardware version. For example, $20 for a 1~4, $15 for a 5~6, and so on. Prices depend on your local market...
