Cheers from my side, too!
Something I'd love to see in the Ledgend release:
A patched Madwifi driver with injection AND Karma capabilities. http://theta44.org/karma/index.html
I already addapted the Madwifi driver to be capable of both and I did some modification to Karma to work better under Backtrack 2 but I haven't ever compiled anything for the Fonera by myself.
I could provide a diff file for the 0.9.3.2 Madwifi version as a template.
*Sigh* I can't get the clientmode script to work.
I used: repeater + VAP, VAP WPA2, IP 192.168.2.1. And for the one it will connect to is: unencrytped, static IP of 192.168.1.99, gateway 192.168.1.1, LAN IP 192.168.10.1 (because 192.168.1.1 is the one it's connecting to). I think thats all the important stuff. I can connect (IP 192.168.2.50) to the VAP and communicate with the Fonera but no internet and no connection to main router. The same with the ethernet, (IP 192.168.10.146) Fonera but no connection to main router or internet.
Any help would be appreciated!
Did anybody suceed installing Asterisk on the SD card? (I'm trying to install on my Fonera with Legend firmware). Everything gets installed on the SD card but Asterisk doesn't load any module at all
It sure is a waste of speed for those cards, although SD cards are cheap now. The fonera can only write in MMC mode, which means extremely slowly. _________________ BNP.org.uk
For everyone having trouble connecting directly to your fon try the below.
Hey outlaw what you need to do is connect to it wirelesly or posiibly through another router and access the web gui. Change the lan ip under network lan-wan to something else or change it and change it back. Then for me I usually have to use that address as the gateway to connect to from my laptop. For some reason I have to do this every reboot but its easier then re flashing. Try it and post back your results.
For those with clientmode problems see below.
Also I'm in a similar boat as mobad. I can't get clientmode to work how I want. In order to connect to the main router i had to ssh in to the fonera and issue a command such as
iwconfig ath1 essid 2wire
The id was already set but this made the fon connect to my main router. With no encryption i achieved internet access through my computer connected to the fon. With encryption i couldn't get access but I could still ping google through the fon just not my computer.
Edit: after a reboot and another iwconfig ath1 essid "essid" i was able to connect with encryption
So mobad try issuing a command such as
iwconfig ath1 essid "essid"
then try and ping google or something through the fon. Try rebooting and and then issue the command again if it doesn't work the first time.
Let me know if this works.
Meltyblood this is awesome thank you.

I honestly can't see much in your pictures (too blurry). You might consider editing that post and posting links to images that are slightly less blurry.
The missing resistor on the wifi led isn't a problem, so long as you have connected the wire to the right points shown here in another blurry image http://i204.photobucket.com/albums/bb94/DDWRTmeltyblood/IM000325.jpg
. If you are missing a resistor there, I would imagine the LED won't light now, since the wire for the card goes BEFORE the resistor, it shouldn't make any difference. 3V is enough to power almost any SD card. The rule with power for electronics is that as long as the workpiece isn't a laser or another highly sensitive component, you've got at least +/- 10% to toy with (in terms of voltage).
The madwifi 9.3.1 driver was the older driver that I used first for injection. Eventually the repository driver became injection capable and I switched over to that (it IS faster after all). For the MMC card, check your connections to the card. Make sure everything is secure. I would invest in a multimeter.
I have a private message in my box to answer, if you are reading this and it's yours, I'll get to it soon. _________________ BNP.org.uk

I checked the all lines from connector pins to the end of the wires with multimeter, also i confirmed power(pin4) and grounds(pins 1, 3, 6) on the connector pins(both gave me 3.1v with multimeter with fonera turned on), but i'm not able to check gpios because i don´t have a point from the end of the wire to PCB to really check gpios on PCB
WIFI Led never turns on with Legend, even with the resistor, it works only with DD-WRT and Fonera original firm, don´t know why but i tought it was normal thing

Justin it works, i don´t know why this happens but your solution is better than a reflash. I´ll seek for other solution like adding network config at the boot menu. As soon as i got something i´ll be back. Thanks.
everything went right @ installation, after that, i reboot, and now this, can´t even type on command line, system hangs up, reflash it twice and the same thing happens, the only solution i got for this it's reflash and do not install the driver:
