This is my current setup. I am using a wrt54g as an access point. I have another WRT54g in the media room to connect my xbox to for media purposes (no ethernet connection in that room, I have connected the wrt54g to the access point using client bridge. The media room is directly under the room with the AP, but I don't want to drill holes for wire)

Here is my problem. I have found that the connection is not good enough to stream content sometimes. For some reason it only works if my laptop is connected to the AP while im in the media room.

Is there some reason this would be? Is my laptop making the connection faster? The connection between the client bridge unit and the AP is at 40% and both are set at G only using a channel with nobody else on it.
