Is it without Shortcut Forwarding Engine? I mean, the setting is there in the UI, but the boot log has no reference to it any longer. E.g. this was in the log in r63600:

: [sfe] : shortcut (sfe) forwarding engine successfully started 

Didn't really pay attention until I realized that I only get downstream speed up to around 290 Mbit/s (used to go to about 700). If the SFE is the reason.

Yep, that was it.

In my case, with an R7800, latest version that gives me wire speeds with SFE is r63790 (600/100 Mb/s).
On next relase, r64002, even if GUI says SFE is on, speed drops to about 350/100...
