Router/Version: Linksys MR8300 v1.1 (Tri Band)
File/Kernel: Linux 4.9.337 #3561 SMP Thu Jan 1 14:30:15 +07 2026 armv7l
Previous/Reset: Upgraded from build 63020
Mode/Status: Access Point
Issues/Errors: No issues

5GHz with 80MHz wireless on the qca4019 chipset is much improved from previous builds where I was capped to around 150Mbps however this build has hit my ISP cap of 250Mbps~ so cant say the max. So far so good!

Spoken to BrainSlayer to see if the qca888 wifi chipset are capable with 160mhz but not as of yet only 80mhz max.

Edit: 05/01/2026

Tried to setup a Mesh on wlan2 interface (qca9888) but errors however the 5GHz band on wlan1 works without issue.

Router Model: Linksys MR7350
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r63230 std (01/01/26)
Kernel Version: Linux 6.6.119-rt29 #4926 SMP Thu Jan 1 06:59:52 +07 2026 aarch64

Update: Renamed file to firmware.bin /tmp
From: v3.0-r62365
Reset: NO
Mode: Gateway
Shortcut Forwarding Engine: Disabled
QCA NSS Subsystem: Enabled
Status: Operational: 1/2 Hour
WAN Connection Type: DHCP
Services Used: Very basic config DHCP Server, DNSMasq, IPv4, 2 x Wireguard Commercial Client VPN's, 2 x DSA VLAN's for Wireguard VPN endpoint, Wireless 2 x SSID's WPA2 & WPA3 Encryption, 2 x VAP's: WPA2 Encryption.
Smart DNS: Cloudflare
Errors: DSA still seems to be broken on ax routers - Vlan's working on LAN but issues with bridged VAP's on AX routers, when connecting to the problem VAP's still shows incorrect password, unbridged VAP's seem to work fine

Router/Version: Linksys MX8500
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r63230 std (01/01/26) / Linux 6.6.119-rt29 #4928 SMP Thu Jan 1 17:19:41 +07 2026 aarch64
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r62966 std (12/06/25) / No
Mode/Status: WAP (for now)
Issues/Errors:
  • After installation, the router was on for about 5 minutes, and then rebooted.
  • 5 GHz radio still does not work. It shows power, busy and active times, however devices do not see its SSID. Reboot does not help, neither does changing regulatory domain and channels.
  • WLAN0 (5 GHz radio) temperature shows -255.0 °C
  • Snowflakes are now rendered nicely Smile.

Notes: Going back to r62996, the last version with a working 5 GHz radio on MX8500.

I am a novice who is babbling in this technology

Does the above say the smartdns is failing to start?
I am experiencing frequent router disconnections and rebooting
The following steps I took with limited success.
I disabled smartdns resolver
I disabled dnsmasq infrastructure
I put into command when starting sleep 10 && killall -9 dnsmasq
I flushed the dns cache in the router

And the rebooting still is happening.
This experience is more trouble than profit. My old, nolonger in service, Netgear R8000, in my opinion, gave far better service.
Stress
