I have a Netgear Nighthawk x4s r7800. Using my dell xps laptop over wifi, I get speeds of ~5mbps up/down. I am only a few feet away from it. On my desktop, with a wired connection, I get ~700 down, and 42 up. I am using speedtest.net.
What settings should I be looking at and what could be going on?

What Build are you running?

Are you connected to 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz?

In Wireless->Status you will find your Dell and what speed its connection has?

DD-WRT v3.0-r61745 std (06/12/25)
I see my laptop listed, but it doesn't say if it's 5 or 2.4.

Status -> Wireless, wlan0 should be 5GHz, wlan1 2.4.

And this is why one should probably have separate SSIDs for each radio.

I thought I had read somewhere if you name the ssids the same for 2.4ghz and 5, the client will choose the best option. Should I name them differently?
