Hi everyone,

I've searched for this online and in the forum but I've not had any joy. Sorry if I'm repeating things or missing something obvious.

I set up my Archer C7 v5 with DD-WRT today, and that all went well, but I'm having issues with the USB storage using a 2TB external WD HDD.

The drive was previously used via USB with my laptop, and then on my previous ISP's router and worked fine, but when I connect it now, I'm unable to see any of the previous files on it (I can if I connect it via USB to my laptop).

Its mapped to the Z drive in Windows 11, and if I drag a file from the desktop to the Z drive, it appears and I can see it on my android etc. But all the existing files are not there. I created a new folder and moved the files to the new folder, but no joy...

The disk is called "WD Drive" and there was one folder on it called "Share" or something like that. I can only access the drive (from W11 or Android) via the IP address.

Is this a file ownership/permissions issue?

Attached are the settings from Services...

Any advice / help is gratefully received!
