"Permissable" versions of manuf. firmware to flash

Archer C7 v5 v3.0-r61848 std (06/24/25)

In order to flash back to the manufacturer's firmware, can I likely use the most recent version of the manufacturer's firmware? It's a little unclear but some of the posts on here read like the user is going back to the original firmware that the device shipped with.
