Much has been written about problems with the latest builds on the r7800 and ea8500s. I`ve had some myself, but my latest "fall back to" build when I have a problem has got to be r60791. This build is rock solid. Up now 6 days on myr7800s and not a glitch. No reboots, fast wireless and the best part is, not generating a bunch of junk in the logs. (not that I understand everything in log files), but clean ! Just want to pass this on.

Thanks for this update. I am also running a r7800 and have been trying to find a current build that has WIFI speed like the old builds and without reboots or wifi disconnects.
Back on r59887 as latest builds wifi speeds has been very low on 5GHZ with full reset.

Thanks for the recommendation. Personally, I've been sticking with r60742 (04-24-2025) as it's the last build before the switch config was depreciated and DSA implemented - I'm waiting until I see more stable reports on a newer version or if a critical/security bug is discovered/fixed.

Thanks for this. I'm gonna try r60791. I've been having a hell of a time finding a solid build lately for my R7800. All my wired connections would lose DNS for no apparent reason and at random times. Resetting the router instantly fixes it but the family is ready to hang me.
If r60791 doesnt seem to fix this weird issue for me i will try r60742 or r59887 next.
If all else fails I will create my own Topic cause im out of ideas lol.

Would it be worth - if you have the time -
Saving your current config,
Take a note of your current configs in detail
Update to one of the latest builds - but wipe your settings
Re-do all your settings from scratch.
That way you'll know if it is actually a problem with the newer builds or if it is a mismatch with your old settings.
If a couple of people do this with each router and post back with their results - at least others will have a better idea on where to go from here
I already have a thread for R7800 with settings info etc.
This is just a basic setup, router and several devices on both 5GHz and 2.4GHz connecting wirelessly, that's it.
And speeds are slow, 2.4GHz is horrendous on newer builds
