Hi,
I have a Netgear R7000p running DD-WRT v3.0-r55799 (04/16/24), and I’m trying to set it up to function as a wireless extender. and addtionally use the LAN ports on the router to connect my laptop.
I previously set up a TP-Link range extender in repeater mode and grabbed its settings as a reference,I've followed tutorials, but I still can’t get the setup to work.
Could someone walk me through the process or help me identify what I might be doing wrong?

Repeater modes may or may not work on Broadcom Northstar (ARM) devices. If the wireless hotspot has the ability to USB tether, upgrade and use that. I wouldn't use a build earlier than 55819, which seems to have been pulled. I also wouldn't use a build from last year. Your other option is to use one radio as a wireless client (Station mode) or wireless bridge (Station Bridge mode).

Thanks in advance!
The setup guide for Repeater Bridge is here https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Repeater_Bridge.
I suggest following the instructions as closely as possible (read: do not be lazy and combine/skip steps),
because sometimes the sequence of the steps matters (mostly due to how the web GUI is programmed).
I've attached the settings for my D-Link DIR-868L Rev. A1 as reference. It may not work for your router.
I also suggest using LAN cable to link routers instead of WiFi, to get superior speed, reliability, security.
