I am getting tons of the below in my syslog, no idea whats causing it and i dont seem to be having any actual functional issues. Any ideas?
Config
R9000 Primary r7800 Secondary
Same SSID on all interfaces
WDS on 5GHz, VAP on 5GHz
K/R enabled -- i beleive this is when this started, but it is balancing connections very well
I did not configure BSSID - Do i need to? could this cause it?

I also have this regularly on a fairly basic set-up. It's only happening on a newer Laptop which happens to be the only one on a 5Ghz unbridged VAP. It seems related to when the Laptop is sleeping or waking and possibly trying to "roam" (although I think i've disabled this in the Wifi card's config). I've enabled the newer Wifi features like "power-save" and others in the "Roaming" tab, but nothing seems to stop it. I don't get this at all on 2.4Ghz or "older" 5Ghz devices.

something is broken in hostapd or mac80211 for roaming, for a LONG TIME now.. affects both 802.11r and regular standard roaming, and its irritating as hell.. _________________ LATEST FIRMWARE(S)

Just caught a good example of this happening with r58381. Hope it helps with troubleshooting.

I was on a Zoom call in my office at 9am with my MacBook PRO right next to the router. It was connected to wlan0 (802.11ax). all good until I took my laptop into another room. You can see it tried to roam to wlan1 at 9:25:17. Zoom call freezes - wifi connection is hung. I carried the laptop back into my office but it did not reconnect until I restarted wifi in my laptop. It reconnected to wlan0 at 9:26:28.

I am also having this on my MX4300 on 58381
seems to happen after a certain period of time
unfortunately I didnt capture the message before reboot but is very similar to above with it repeated ...station tried to associate with unknown ssid several times but of course I have to wait till it appear again to get exact timing and number of repeats. I believe it was happening on wlan1 and possibly on 1.1 (vap) I am setting the router to log to the server from now on while troubleshooting and there is a post in the mx4300 forum about problems with deauth due to inactivity that didnt exist on the r7000p that the mx4300 replaced. It also seems to drop connection to the laptop on wlan0 very briefly. Maybe this is related to the changing signal strength of that model...

I am seeing this as well. I am confused as to why RADIUS is even enabled since I do not have it selected. When I see these in the syslog, it is about the time when my wifi extender stops getting packets routed. It stays connected but no traffic flows. How can I turn RADIUS off? _________________ Netgear R9000 DD-WRT v3.0-r61337 std (05/17/25)

I see this in my logs also but I'm not using RADIUS. Was there a solution for this or should I just ignore it?
I have an Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 BE1750w adapter in one of my laptops, and it just constantly disconnects and reconnects to my wireless N wifi...

Quick check: At your location, is there any other WiFi network with the same SSID as the one your device was trying to connect to?
In case you're unsure, a quick scan using a WiFi analyzer app can reveal that.

these are mainly mobile phones in power save state. there is no way to resolve it. yes some of them especially mediatek chipsets are sending curious data in powersave / inactive mode.
