Has anyone figured out how to do a dd-wrt webupgrade using only the CLI on this router?

Using the CLI I can do the initial factory-to-ddwrt or reflash factory firmware from dd-wrt just fine, and I can do a webupgrade in the GUI successfully, but my attempt to use @lexridge's reflash-to-factory procedure, now part of @kp-69's excellent install guide, with the webflash.bin file ignorantly substituted for the linksys file, was a disaster. The router would not boot.

To upgrade via CLI, you do not use the mtd command. You need to use the "write" command. ie:
Code:
write webflash-mr7350-r59171.bin linux | linux2

I *think* mtd is only used to flash OEM.bin or factory-to-ddwrt.bin files.

If you had a serial connection to the router we would know exactly what is going on.

Thanks for that, lexridge. I somehow never expected it to be that simple! I'll give it a try on my next upgrade.

-r60276 factory-to-ddwrt.img seems to large for mr7350 (35.970kb) had to use a smaller -r58244 (31.234kb) then upgrade to -60276 webflash.bin
Is this safe to run at 1800MHz I see it's set to 1440MHz at default.
I had to change the wireless encryption to WPA2 personal 128 AES from WPA3 Personal / SAE default for my phone to connect is this a know issue?
I will try and read the complete thread when I have more time.
Thanks devs

I've been running at 1440MHz. If you're going to try 1800, I'd keep a close eye on the temperatures. TechInfoDepot.com shows the MR7350 as running at 1.2GHz, so I assume that's what factory firmware runs at, in which case 1800 is a significant overclock.

WPA3 is part of the Wifi 6 standard, but not required. I've got both WPA2 Personal and WPA3 Personal/SAE enabled with CCMP-128 (AES) as the algorithm. When I tried to enable one of the other algorithms, nothing would connect. My Windows devices, Pixel phones, and one iPhone XR connect using WPA3, but my printer and Amazon devices don't support WPA3 and fall back to WPA2 without issue.

I have been running mine for a few months at 1800mzh without any over heating issues. Admittedly it is not a busy router as it's only used as a WDS station on wlan0.

Correcting my above post, the WPA3 is working, I assume was user error, more than likely using o rather than 0, added a VAP with WPA3 and its connecting fine.
Also set CPU freq 1.8GHz now for couple days, temps seem fine.
This will be going off to family member this weekend switching out main router, will report back over coming weeks, if I find anything.
Many thanks Devs

Anyone found the GPIO codes to control the front-panel light?
