I have a router (glinet) running ddwrt and I am trying to enable ssh access. I have spent several hours on it and can't get it to work, using ddwrt faq, glinet advice, chaatgtp. I have access to the router via glinet's cloud option, but I need to be able to ssh direct. I would like to pay someone who is adept at ssh setup to do a screen share to get this going, rather than bore anyone with my lack of troubleshooting skill. Thanks

This is as close as I get, and it probably isn't close.

debug1: Offering public key: /root/.ssh/id_ed25519 ED25519 SHA256:YMMV
debug3: send packet: type 50
debug2: we sent a publickey packet, wait for reply
debug3: receive packet: type 51
debug1: No more authentication methods to try.
root@147.75.51.666: Permission denied (publickey).

Are you sure you are running DDWRT and not GLiNETs stock firmware?

What version of DDWRT are you running?

You are using GLiNETs stock firmware which is loosely based on an old version of OpenWRT.

You really should ask at GLiNET

This is an OpenWRT issue, not a DD-WRT issue. However, I did find the following:

https://superuser.com/questions/1761671/dropbear-agent-key-is-visible-in-ssh-connection-but-fail-to-fetch-them-with-ssh

https://github.com/mkj/dropbear/issues/213

https://forum.openwrt.org/t/ssh-access-for-newcomers/145330

Best advice is to upgrade the firmware and go from there:
