Hello, I want to use the TP Link Wr841n v9 as a WiFi client and also as an Access Point to connect my devices to a Hotel WiFi.
I followed a guide and everything works, but if I type in the wrong password for the WiFi client, the router doesn’t connect to the hotel WiFi obviously but also doesn’t provide its own WiFi which is why I can’t use the router without a wired connection or resetting it.
Is there some way that the router would still broadcast the AP WiFi so I can change the password for the client?

This is an old question but i happened to come across and if I understand what you are doing, sounds like you are trying to use the wap kinda as a travel router which I do all the time with ddwrt. There are detailed guides on how to set this up but the simple answer I think for you and what i suggest is to have a separate VAP that you can login to to get to the router page always to set it up and can run your devices on....for example, all my devices can log onto jonny4 which is a home WAP (VAP) network that tablets and laptops and phone can connect to.
When I get to the hotel, I pull my travel router out and set it up as a bridge to the hotel wifi, so I can now have my devices login to my WAP (jonny4) and use all my settings like dns and blocking and such.
So in essence add a vap to your router and set it up so you will always be able to access you router via that to get to the configuration page.
