just 860? i tested 1.4 gbit duplex with my intel card as client (160 mhz width). i used iperf3 for testing. just tcp. no udp test and 8 parallel streams

Wow, damned impressive! I cannot get these types of speeds as my entire network infrastructure here is only 1Gbps for now (same for Internet). Once I order some MX8500s (soon) then I can do some better testing.

regarding your request. i prefer a real final solution with both bands enabled. i prepared already such code. but its no working yet. the firmware still stops operating.

Understood. I had assumed the RAM limitation was going to be a show stopper for this.

the next builds on the alpha server will provide 5 ghz again. be so kind and test if all is working for you once its available.

Will do!

the mx8500 isnt available here. i have provided images. but its a blind port. no feedback so far.

if you run iperf3 on the router itself the ports dont matter. so you can do pure wifi tests. it will not show the real possiblitied since iperf3 itself takes cpu power which decreases maximum performance, but you can get more than 1 gbit (at least here)

Right, we have discussed this via email. Surprised nobody has one yet to test. That will change soon.

Yes, I did try this and achieved very similar results to yours. Slightly slower but I attribute that to the wifi chipset in this Pixel7a. It was not the most expensive phone. lol

5ghz does work on wlan2, but the signal strength is "fair" to "poor" from < 1 meter distance. I even laid my phone on top of the router and the signal strength did not improve. Moving back to about 4 metres, total signal loss.

6ghz still seems fine. Signal strength is Excellent, even from 4 metres.

which channel?

edit:
i can verify this. it seem that the calibration data for 5 ghz is missing. i can bring in a dataset which works but it has lower power on 6 ghz. so i suggest get rid of it. its made for 6 ghz and nothing else

I agree. It's not worth it.

Sorry for the newbie question,
on stock firmware at the moment, want to flash factory-to-ddwrt.bin from here
https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2025/02-02-2025-r59468/linksys-mr7500/

I have spent the last 10 min searching the entire web ui and i can't find any field or form that would allow me to upload the firmware and flash.

How did you guys flash it initially ?

Fuller WIP device Wiki page added over starter page. Sorry I didn't get to it sooner, annual "Navy Training, Sir!" at work and other priorities. Thanks for adding the starter page, @buddee. Supported Devices Wiki page update coming.
