|
I am just curious. Sometimes when I leave the house I shut my router and modem off.
When I turn them on and the ISP modem is rebooting it will give me a 192.xx.xx.xx non public IP then I'll see in the log the time service failing a few times because no public IP yet then I'll see [wland] : successfully started and then [wan] : WAN is up. IP:xxx.xx.xx.xx then I'll start seeing dropped packets of the internet like usual.
I noticed tonight the dropped packets were coming in without a public IP yet.
The IP's were all google in london, skynet isp and recyber.
I never really noticed them before.
Does that mean something? maybe the modem can still pass traffic during that window of time but I cant go out? strange
