I installed r58976 yesterday on a WRT1900ACv1.
Found a new behavior. Is it new because of R58976? I don't know. I have not had time to go back and test other versions.
What I found was USB port #2 works just fine, including USB3 devices, as long as no other USB device is mounted or in use by DD-WRT. That makes me think the kernel is limiting the number of active USB devices to ONE. Why? How? I have no idea. This is just what I observed.
Note: In previous builds I only checked to see if USB #2 worked while USB #1 was already in use.
Here is a list of "rules" I observed:
- Only ONE device can be active and mounted/used.
- USB/eSata Port #1 has priority.
- Any recognized device connected to USB Port #2 will be disconnected if a device is connected to USB/eSata port #1.
- Nothing will be recognized in USB Port #2 when USB/eSata Port #1 is in use.
- The use of a USB hub is pointless/irrelevant.
I am not being presented with any errors or crashes, just inconvenience from what appears to be normal operation/behavior.
No complaints, just thought I should pass along the new behavior I observed. |
