Update method: SSH / CLI using PuTTY
Router/Version: Netgear R9000
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r58730 std (11/29/24) / Linux 4.9.337 #748 SMP Sat Nov 2 02:03:45 +07 2024 armv7l
Issues/Errors: Problems, rolled back to r58753
I saw the new version this morning and loaded it. I had no problems installing it, but the new version goofed up my wireless Virtual Access Point. It looked like the VLAN became bridged even though the setting is unbridged. My clients that tried to connect to the VAP connected but were served IPs on the wrong network. I rolled back to the 12/03/2024 - r58753 version (and restored my NVRAM settings), and all was normal.
I can try again later today, but for now I think something is wrong with this build
12/05/24 UPDATE: I tried again and it updated smoothly. No issues with the VAP _________________ Netgear R9000

Router/Version: Linksys MX4300 (Primary)
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r58785 std (12/05/24)
Kernel: Linux 6.6.63-rt29 #1735 SMP Thu Dec 5 06:33:37 +07 2024 aarch64
Previous: DD-WRT v3.0-r58753 std (12/03/24)
Update Method: WebUI
Mode/Status: Gateway / Ok
Reset: No
Setup:
Wlan0, Mesh/802.11s 5.0 GHz AX-only 80 MHz WPA3
Wlan1, AP 2.4 GHz N/G Mixed 20 MHz WPA2
Wlan2, AP 5.0 GHz AX/AC/N Mixed 80 MHz WPA2
IPv4, DHCP, DNSMasq, Static Leases, Port Forwarding
USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0) Seagate One Touch 2TB STKB2000400 (exFAT), NAS, Samba (Restricted User/Password)
NTP Client, Wireguard Server, Wake-on-WAN (Internet), SSH (public key)
SFE NSS-ECM, QoS Disable
Issues/Errors:
Wireless Domain is set to UNITED_STATES: txpower wlan0 - 17 dBm, wlan1 - 16 dBm, wlan2 - 25 dBm
GUI Overclocking: When setting overclocking on the Administration>Management screen change the Max Frequency to 1651 MHz then SAVE and APPLY, but do not REBOOT. Now select Fix Frequency then SAVE and APPLY, but do not REBOOT. The Status>Router page displays the CPU Clock at 1651 MHz.
overclocking=165120
clkfreq=165120
freq_fixed=1
Rebooting the router does not change the values above, but now on the Status>Router page the CPU Clock displays 1382 MHz not the 1651 MHz. No idea where it’s pulling the 1382 MHz from.
If the router was rebooted simply go back to the Administration>Management screen and unselect Fix Frequency then SAVE and APPLY, but do not REBOOT. Reselect Fix Frequency then SAVE and APPLY, but do not REBOOT. This should reset the CPU Clock to 1651 MHz on the Status/Router screen until it gets rebooted again.
Downside: Any scripts that runs during the booting process may/will need to be run again.
Router/Version: TP-Link TL-WR841ND v11
Update method: WebUpgrade
File/Kernel: tl-wr841nd-webflash.bin_r58785 / Linux 3.18.140-d6 #223412 Thu Dec 5 08:10:27 +07 2024 mips
Previous/Reset: r58753 / no
Mode/Status: AP wired and wireless / Up and running for 2:44 hours
Issues/Errors: Nothing significant
The fact is that the router connected to the Internet (to the Internet provider). And it reports an error, the orange WAN indicator flashes (the icon in the form of a planet). Internet is working, I just think it's a glitch

Note the issue with my VAP did not occur when I tried the update again. Must have been a problem with the update process. _________________ Netgear R9000

if GUI option is not there its either for reason or just a glitch... 8)
yes you can install snmp via Entware .. too
It's not just the GUI configuration that's gone -- /usr/sbin/snmpd and /etc/wl_snmpd.sh are missing as well.
I use it for monitoring traffic on the VAPs. The Entware build of SNMP doesn't seem to see the VAPs, but it might be possible to get it to work by merging some/most of the config into that of the Entware version.
I'm wondering if it was sacrificed to save space like was done with tcpdump. I do have tcpdump from Entware installed. _________________ Netgear R9000

I'd venture to say it was due to the bloated images for R7500v1... this is when configurations need to be on a per-device basis and not blanketed, perhaps.
I have 1 primary + 2 followers. All running the same firmware and use the same settings besides IP address.
Issues/Errors: One/all of the node (newly added) became freaky after a few hours. Reboot is required to bring it back.
EDIT: I have downgraded to 11/29 release and now the mesh can last more than 24 hours. I used this version prior to upgrade to 12/05 version.
EDIT2: 11/29 also failed. I made several tweaks since I started using DD-WRT on my MX4300. The most recent changes are related to region. I will switch back to US and see if it changes.

Router/Version: Linksys MR7350 x3
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r58785 std (12/05/24), Linux 6.6.63-rt29 #1733 SMP Thu Dec 5 06:11:01 +07 2024 aarch64
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r58753 std (12/03/24), full reset and reconfig on all devices
Mode/Status: Gateway (NSS-ECM), Access Point (DD-WRT firmware,2.4GHz, 5GHZ, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:PANAMA), fixed frequency, IPV6 (DHCP6 w/ prefix delegation), Entware, DOT via SmartDNS/DNSMasq, OpenVPN server, Wireguard Server + 2 wired access points (2.4GHz, 5GHZ, WPA2/WPA3, 802.11r/v/k, guest network, domain:PANAMA)
Issues/Errors:
Up 36 hours. USB 3.2 stick working properly for Entware and "jffs" partitions. Speed (tested via nPerf.com) is very close to published, which is equal or favorable to the ISP router. Wireguard and OpenVPN servers both working as expected and throughput sufficient to open video files on network shares.
Was having some random wifi dropouts, so I did a full reset and reconfig on the primary router and both access points. It's been rock solid since (except when I forgot to turn off DHCP on one of the access points, my bad).
Thank you Brainslayer. _________________ __________________________
