If I enable the feature the initial MAC that shows is the Built-in Router MAC, if I use the [Get Current PC MAC Address] now I get all 00s rather than the adapter of the PC i'm using.

Now if I enter the adapter MAC (or any other unique MAC) the Router will not light the WAN Led and no IP will be given. If I enter the MAC of the Router it will boot fine and assign the usual IP.

Also, if the Router is fully booted with a non-Router MAC and "hung", it will finally get an IP (a new IP) if I reset the modem.

I know others have mentioned this but there's never really been a explanation for this. Also, my ISP doesn't require this MAC-registering thing.

Does the Router initially announce it's internal MAC and once DDWRT is started switches to the Cloned MAC and thus confuse the modem?
