Router: Linksys WRT3200ACM
Firmware: r55819
Kernel: Linux 6.1.86
Previous/Reset: r55799 / No
Mode/Status: Gateway/WAN / Stable
Issues/Errors:
My XR500 died overnight, so I pressed my WRT3200ACM into service as main Gateway.
All good - aside from limitation to WPA2.
I have whitelisted wifi MAC filering and WPA Strict Rekeying enabled to help mitigate the lack of WPA3, as well as disabling DHCP and thus requiring each device to have an IP set.
I tried OpenVPN Client - got 120/14 speed on my 130/15 (off-peak) speed internet.
Interestingly, the XR500 running Openwrt 23.5.3 could only manage 65mbps download with it.
SFE disabled - not needed with my lowish internet speed here.
Edit: noticed that 2.4GHz wifi is always broadcasting at 100% strength - at least on Ch6.
