So I have some WLED devices that keep on connecting to my 5ghz band on my primary router (Orbi mesh system), and so I thought I would hook up my old DD-WRT router, and have a different SSID that my WLED devices could hook up to. The only thing is I want my WLED devices to also be seen on my primary network too (on my 192.168.1.1 network for Alexa, Home Assistant, etc) and not on an extended DHCP network (192.168.2.1).

How can I configure my DD-WRT router so that I can plug in a cable into the WAN port of my DD-WRT, and have the router just extend my primary router table. I tried just turning off DHCP on the DD-WRT, and then plugging the cable into the internet port on my TP-LINK DD-WRT, but I am not getting any internet, etc., event after restarting the router. I also tried just plugging it into a LAN port on my DD-WRT, but nothing is connecting to the internet. Is there anything else I need to do to set this up?

I am on a TP-LINK Archer C7 and DD-WRT 3.0-r41027 (from like September 2019 Very Happy)

Thanks in advance!
