You're not breaking boot. Also 'nvram erase' is for Broadcom, not Atheros. More reading for you:

https://openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr941nd

https://oldwiki.archive.openwrt.org/toh/tp-link/tl-wr941nd

You have to break boot at the '1 second' message (if you can see it). May try spacebar. Ideally, considering the track record here, you should try TFTP flash first.
Code:
Setup a TFTP server on your computer with the static address 192.168.0.66 - Put the image (without UBoot!) into the TFTP root directory and rename it to wr941ndv5_tp_recovery.bin*

Now connect the WAN port of the router with your computer's ethernet port, power up the router and hold the reset button pressed (stop pressing the reset button when the lock symbol led turned on).

* - the filename may not be correct, only way to know for sure is to set up TFTPD32/64 properly and see what filename it asks for.

So, wifi is not broadcasting, you cannot connect via LAN ethernet port to http://192.168.1.1 after setting static IP, cannot ping it, and TFTP is not working. It's probably something simple, but we don't have all the information and that's about all the help I can give you. Good luck.

I think you've already been given all the information that anyone can give you. The fact is you bricked the router by flashing an incompatible firmware despite a clear warning in red text in the router database that the FCC ID on your model will brick if you fly to flash dd-wrt to it.

The only thing you can do to recover it at this point is try to flash it back to factory firmware using tftp or the internal TTL port.
