Hi,
I have EA6900 with dd-wrt connected to Gbit PPPoE WAN, I only get 200Mbit max download speed.

I'm trying to understand the ratio between the clock speed of the router CPU to the max speed the router supports using PPPoE and potential 1Gbit PPPoE supported dd-wrt routers.
If you have dd-wrt router that is connected to 100Mbit-1Gbit PPPoE WAN please specify:
1. your router model
2. max download speed
3. max supported download speed by the ISP

for example, mine is:
1. EA6900
2. 200Mbps
3. 1000Mbps

Thanks.

1. your router hardware is not made to translate such a speed (WAN to LAN) 1Gbit needs powerful CPU
2. PPPoE WAN interface takes a big toll on CPU speed anyway..
3. a gigabit router doesn't mean it will utilize such a speed via WAN (it has only gigabit LAN ports)
4. for utilizing a Gbit speeds you need a powerful router...preferably x86 or x64 mini/micro PC
5. Routers that can deal with such a speed: Netgear R9000, R7800 (on the old kernel) and few others...
6. If you need to squeeze a bit more performance from your router you can try to enable SFE from basic config page...(but it comes with caveats)
7. Always state your router model and current firmware number on it...it helps a bit more... Cool

This is asking for comparison information for other similar or dissimilar routers. I think it is safe to say that it's still running DD-WRT v3.0-r53221 std (07/08/23), and it's still an EA6900:
