Swich config working correctly (thank you)

Wireguard still 200 Mbps slower than r53633 @egc, do you have any idea’s as to why or how to correct this yet? as this is the only deal breaker for me… so far.

Thank you for your ongoing support.

It's no secret that newer, larger kernels usually run slower on older hardware.

Shocked 200 Mbps slower... Wow. best people who use Wireguard from now on stick to the older and much faster versions.

ipq806x achieves >900Mbit WAN<-> LAN throughput with kernel 4.9 (without SFE)
with kernel 6 only ~600Mbit

Shocked

sounds like the same as I have:

940Mbit WAN<-> LAN throughput

Wireguard speeds

r53633 = 800 Mbps

r53915 = 600 Mbps

I guess r53633 is the peak for Wireguard on the WRT1900ACSv2 as a lowly dual core seems to be keeping up with the mighty quads.

Sounds to me like it is not CPU dependent!

I would think probably a wireguard code problem as I don't believe an older kernel does things better Wink

I agree as I'm not seeing any slowdown running ExpressVPN with this release. =)

WRT1900ACS V2 has problems with the last three versions of DDWRT included and with this the router reboots, has no one encountered this problem before?

it's true, I saved the settings during the update, I think I'll try again tomorrow morning without saving the settings...

however, the most stable version remains r53633!

i see no issue. your log shows it works.

i see also no reboot issue. everytime a reboot happens i see a remote ssh login in your log. so this reboot is manually triggered by you or someone who accesses the router with ssh

Good morning BrainSlayer,

Yes, it's true, I rebooted the rooter manually several times, but as many times as I haven't had access to the web interface and the wifi part didn't work..

This morning I redid the update, I made the transaction from the version r53633 without keeping the settings, everything seems fine, but I noticed something, when I ping the router and then I reboot the router and the router responds to ping, isn't that strange?

Thank you for all you do, God bless you!

for a while the router responds until the reboot happens. because if you type reboot services get stopped first before the reboot is initiated. this may take 5 - 10 seconds. if you still see then pings then you have a second device with a identical ip in your network which also explains why you did not have access to the webif etc. i can tell you that i have a wrt1900acm v2 running here in my network as router to my fiber line. no issues so far
