OpenVPN connected but not hiding IP

Hello, I have my openvpn connection up and running with the latest version of dd-wrt on Linksys WRT 1200 AC. My vpn status shows connected however when connected to the router external sources still show my ip unmasked. I came across the following doc:
https://openvpn.net/community-resources/how-to/#redirect and am looking at the following section: Routing all client traffic (including web-traffic) through the VPN

I tried entering the following lines as suggested in the "Additional Config" section w/o any luck.

push "redirect-gateway def1"
push "redirect-gateway local def1"
iptables -t nat -A POSTROUTING -s 192.168.0.0/24 -o eth0 -j MASQUERADE


Any feedback is appreciated.
