Running this router with the latest DD-WRT firmware.
I have connected the internet port on the router to the lan port on our livebox5 but there is no connection to the internet.
What can I do to fix this?
also make sure you set up your router correctly..as we don't have any information, pics and ect.
its a random blind shooting..and not much to be done .. internet connectivity very often need IP, Gateway and DNS to start with...it could ne either static, dynamic dhcp, pppoe or some other...which is yours..routers alos very othen need to be on a different subnet from the other devices..default ddwrt is 192.168.1.1 and if any other device connected to the network has the same it will be a mess.so set your router to a different subnet means business..not to forget NTP time as all router services depend on it..too _________________ Atheros

The router is marked Netgear N300 WNR3500U/Wnr3500L, sorry for confusion.
I changed the router IP to 192.168.3.1 as the Livebox turns out to be 192.168.1.1
This is now communicating with the livebox with the ethernet.
All well and good, but now the admin sign in is lost and I have not been able to recover it. I cannot install an open vpn without that.
I have tried factory reset and 30.30.30 to no avail.
