Errors: Speed test seems slow but it could be ISP traffic..will continue testing
My speed was great once I set Shortcut Forwarding Engine to CTF and Flow Acceleration to CTF & FA. I would assume you already did but just mentioning it.

My speeds have been all over the place the last few weeks. I have done resets and reconfigured with settings that have always worked. SOMETIMES I will get full speed (750+ Mbps) but USUALLY I'm around 33-50% speeds.
Unfortunately IDK if this just means my router is going bad, or if it's the recent builds. Modem numbers all look fine from ISP.
Environment: Connected via Ethernet to Netgear 6700v3 running ExpressVPN official router software. (LAN port to LAN port). Pihole DNS v5.17.1.

On my Netgear R6300v1 flashing this on top of 52569 resulted in a brick with a blinking green power light, similarly I experienced with 50927 previously. Hopefully nmrpflash will work as last time.
ETA: I restored 52569 with nmrpflash and everything is back in working order.
Well, this is odd. I tried bisecting to find the first bad build, so I went: 52569, 52671, 52720, 52869 and then back to 52894. Oddly enough, 52894 is working now. Does the order of upgrades make a difference?

No, but...
1. Did you reset all setttings??
2. Did you power off the router after the first reboot of firmware upgrade?
3. Any other things you forgot! _________________ Router: Asus RT-N18U (rev. A1)

I did not reset the settings for quite some time actually. Not for the failed flash, but not for the working one either. Aside of the two builds mentioned, I never had any problems.
I did power cycle the router after the failed upgrade and still got the blinking green light.

Did you select reset to defaults after flashing? That's been known to cause issues. What would really help is serial logs of trying to flash this release on your router. Then we can see what failed. Alternatively, you could try flashing via CLI to see if the firmware image is too big. Outside of that, a hard reset could be the make or break. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"

52984 is working now so I cannot provide any logs anymore unfortunately. As far as resetting to default post-flash, I have not done it. Can it even be done with the router not booting at all? The symptoms are the power LED going yellow for several seconds and then blinking green. Normally power LED starts yellow but then goes to solid green.
I do own a USB-UART cable for my Odroid HC1. If there is no soldering required, I can check if I can get it attached to the router to see what is going on next time this happens.

For that adapter to work, you'd need to know the pinout at the UART end and make the correct cable, as the pitch on the usually populated serial header on your router is different. There are many options for other USB-UART-TTL-3.3V-level-shifting adapters out there, but avoid Prolific PL2303 unless you are using Linux (and possibly MacOS), there are some knock-off adapters that do not work well with Windows (and may not work at all). Also, if the adapter only supports 5V, it will not work. _________________ "Life is but a fleeting moment, a vapor that vanishes quickly; All is vanity"
