Yes the certificate has expired again, I have already sent an email.
In the meantime just accept risk and continue or set permanent server exception in browser's certificate manager.
For wget you need to use http anyway not https, and for curl if https is a requirement use -k or --insecure for now.

Certificate problem of download server solved!!
Code:
# echo -n Q | openssl s_client -connect download1.dd-wrt.com:443 2</dev/null | openssl x509 -noout -dates
notBefore=May 22 11:10:56 2023 GMT

Is it a new cert or renewal? This certificate system reminded me of insurance policies. Smile

Here we go again. Alert the media! Pretty easy to just email someone instead of making a public spectacle about it... or, just tag onto one of the old threads, if they're not locked. Holy cow. It's like FUD city in this forum some days.

P.S. I'm not getting the error, so it's probably already fixed.

This "the sky is falling" mentality when the certs expire for all DD-WRT sites is a waste of energy. Just let the people who notice it contact the admins and be patient and don't make such a big deal about it unless you're willing to pay for a better solution out of your own pocket.

That's why this thread was created. Nobody was making a big deal, but just to report a problem.

But if you wanted private, under-the-table tickets, well... Smile

I also don't see the problem of a forum post to report an issue. The only important factor is 'which location is the admin likely to see first?' If finding an email address takes longer than writing a post then it makes sense to report it in the easiest location that is likely to work.

BS usually gets at least a half-dozen emails without a ticket or report in the forum usually (okay, maybe not, but). People gon' do what people do.

oh man that was a close one. I thought dd-wrt was suddenly coming to a close and I was not sure what the future was gonna be looking like since I would forced to use stock firmware. I know theres openWRT but I dont think they know how to make a functional web gui.

I was about to sell all my routers, buy a windows server 2019 license, install it on my Poweredge R710, and use that as my home router. I am not sure if it would have been as secure as dd-wrt, but still way better than factory stock firmware.

Glad to hear everything was sorted out in the end!

Careful, one of the other un-written rules covers who can be humorous or use sarcasm. Don't want to get nicked by the dibbles.
