The Path of the share is wrong, it should be /mnt/sda1

NTFS is not recommended (might work or not), you also have a bootloader on the drive, waste of space and potential point of trouble

Just formatting another 2TB drive to ext 4 and and setting to GPT (taking for hours), I never had any choice for the path other than the /mnt

Thanks

I've managed to get one of the drives setup as ext 4 and now displaying as 2TB available across the windows network, so thanks for the help on that.

I am just finishing formatting the second drive now as ext 4, do I need the script now, if they are not NTFS.

Thanks

First try without.

But if the mount points change after reboot you need it

It is a shell script you run it from the routers Command line (telnet/putty).
Copy script to tmp (e.g. with WinSCP)
Adapt to your needs. see the instructions in the script.
Make executable with: chmod +x ddwrt-mount-usb-drives.sh
To see the script in action execute with: sh -x /tmp/ddwrt-mount-usb-drives.sh

If the script is to your liking copy the script to Administration/Commands and Save as USB.
the script will then be executed after the USB drives are online, not 100% sure if this works it can be a catch 22 situation.
I never used it, for serious NAS duties I use a serious NAS (QNAP pro 453 with 4 8TB drives in RAID 5).
My routers have just one USB stick Smile

The router is running Linux so this is basic Linux stuff

Your a good man, thanks for all the time and effort you have given to help me get my USB NAS running. Just need to sort the media side of things now so my LG TV discovers them.

Thanks
