Yes, I know that. But, I have done it many times, only a few times did it mess up. It depended on how much had changed. If it doesn't load and work, I make it work. Either going from build to build, or like this time just reset then load the older config. Just don't have time to redo the static leases on the main and sub network (which is 140+- devices). Also don't use a lot of ddwrt services, other things take care of it.
Now I have all three on this build, usually have to mess with wireless settings for esp devices after upgrading the subnet router.
Also, the WRT3200 does not have wireless enabled.
