Is it possible to get dd wrt for the tp link Archer C5400X v1.0 and what is the method? Is it sold or what and how much is it

Short answer is no, as C5400X is Broadcom. Buy supported routers (Atheros).

WikiDevi: R7800 (XR450/XR500), R7500v2, EA8500, R9000 (R8900/XR700).
R7800, XR450, XR500, R7500v2, EA8500 (serial flash), x86 (one, two, three).

Hardware donation is usually required for up to 802.11ac Broadcom devices, but TP-Link has been bad about making 3rd party firmware difficult to port. If the developer does not have one in hand to work with, the answer is usually no...
