SSID Broadcast BUG in repeater mode and Virtual AP

I am starting a new thread to report this bug, not just to get more attention, but cause I encountered in 2 builds, 52168 and 52095

When choosing AP mode, everything works fine. Didn't test any other mode!

But When choosing repeater mode, and add a virtual AP, and disable the SSID it will still be visible!

Test configurations:

Wireless Interface wl0 [2.4 GHz TurboQAM]
Radio Mode repeater

Virtual Interfaces
SSID Broadcast Disable (still visible) <<<< the bug

Wireless Interface wl1 [5 GHz/802.11ac]
Radio Mode AP
SSID Broadcast Disable (Hidden)


I changed Wireless Interface wl0 [2.4 GHz TurboQAM] to AP mode and test disabling the SSID for the Virtual Interfaces and it works.

SO it seams it is only with repeater mode and Virtual Interfaces!

For reference this is Asus RT-AC88U (r52095 and r52148) just in case a hardware model or platform specific issue.

It is the same for my R6200v2 (R6250) @52148.
Bridged or unbridged
Secured or unsecured

Of course it doesn't matter since I cannot connect to it anyway Rolling Eyes

Can we open a ticket as it is reproduced in at least 2 models? I believe it is a universal issue.

Possibly related (not a VAP, but second radio that is not in a repeater mode):

2.4 Repeater bridge works, 5 ghz AP does not
