Hello, is it possible to enable it somehow? It works fine on R7000, but not this router. I can only enable CTF. And cant select between CTF + FA.

Not all Broadcom routers have FA.

But I think your router is similar to an AC68U (e.g. Broadcom Northstar) so it might be possible.

What build are you running? Maybe it was not enabled yet on older builds, current is build 52054.

Check your boot log / syslog to see if it detects FA capability. If it doesn't detect it, then it won't be available. Of course, it could always be the unofficial support hack that is culprit. Only way to fix that is to get the bits needed for proper detection.

The Broadcom bcm4708 ARM chip (which is what the ac 66u b1 uses) never had flow accelerator functionality.

The bcm4709 chip is one that comes to mind that has this functionality.

Are you sure? It’s possible on 56u

Did you clear cache or reboot in the process of determining whether or not it would be available?

Someone can probably nix this useless ticket. This should be available for the BCM4708C0.

No, it's not.

Visual anomaly. Here is rmerlin of asuswrt-merlin firmware stating it too.

Not saying it is available for your router but I looked at that Asus-WRT thread and it shows the typical Broadcom mess.

FYI I have a linksys EA6900 with Broadcom BCM4708A0 (800 MHz, 2 cores) which does have FA

The B1 of the RT-AC66U is not officially supported, so that may be where the anomaly lies. Could've sworn the RT-AC68U supported CTF+FA.

"Show us the money" applies. Prove your words. Not going to read that forum thread.

I've never had a router with the 4708A0 so thats good to know.

But the 4708 And the 4708C0 (that the ac66u_b1 uses) do not have Flow Acceleration hardware as it gets shown on initial flash then disappears just as the firmware check for it says will occur if it doesn't find a compatible CPU.
