EA8500
(This router has ran perfectly before with r49838 on it)

GUI installed r52095 over stock Linksys firmware.
Rebooted, changed credentials, reset to factory defaults for good measure, rebooted again.

Everything seemed OK until I activated the vlan configuration page and rebooted.
DHCP then refuses to assign an IP to the wired connection but works fine on the wireless connection.
I am no expert but the br0 bridging table also doesn't look quite right after vlan is activated.

I am running MX Linux (based on Debian stable) on my PC if that matters.

I had the same on my R7800, somebody said that if you disable VLAN again on the Switch config tab it will work again, but after a full reset and restore I did not tried it as this is my main/family router.

unbelievable, so I'm somebody?
How many times do I have to write it?

1. if you disable the "switch config" tab, the router reboots with the default port configurations.

2. on routers with 2 CPU ports, after enabling the "switch config" tab, you have to set more see >

https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=1281555#1281555

3. But this will change soon, because the switch config tab gets configurable CPU ports

this is slowly becoming igorant

if you still don't believe me:

1. create a nvram backup (yes a backup has always been able to restore the previous port configuration)
2. activate the "switch config" tab
3. disable the "switch config" tab
4. you now have a backup you don't need

this will take max 5min

I am only the modest person who had requested the function

I'm using that version now, any reason I shouldn't upgrade to r52095? Most important things to me are stability (no random reboots) and 5Ghz signal strength/range/low latency.

Nothing wrong with EA8500 r52095 at all, but GUI Switch Config two-armed or dual CPU port routers next release.
Coming from that old build and layout config, factory defaults, or nvram erase && reboot after successful upgrade.
