03-08-2023-r51976 seems ok, the ping increases when the speed test application is open, after the application is stopped, the ping returns to normal, right now I put a 4k content on the TV and everything runs smoothly, even netflix in speed test 200-164mbps... _________________ Internet provider https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCS_%26_RDS 1Gbps

Similar wifi connection hang on my 3200ACM as I saw with 52054. My iphone and macbook were both connected to the 5ghz radio on the 3200 about 3 feet away. Both stopped passing data at the same time. Macbook couldn't ping the router and the iphone was just hung up. Recycled wifi on iphone and both devices started working again. No messages in the logs other than the devices reconnecting to wifi. I dropped back down to 51729 (2/16/23).

I thought incorrect too but apparently Marvell hardware is strange WRT3200ACM has "just a single antenna chain".
Advanced settings, screenshots and phone apps will fix not this issue, but in meantime free to explore possibilities.
Ah you are correct I overlooked that, so Marvell defaults have been wrong this entire time or only case of PEBKAC?
Edit: Previous Marvell advanced settings screenshots do not have antenna chain listed at all so maybe this is a sign.
Edit 2: r51976 has both TX RX Antenna Chains listed, so now to verify previous builds. Placing all bets on r51937...
Router/Version: NetGear 7800 Nighthaek x4S
File/Kernel: DD-WRT v3.0-r52095 std (03/23/23)
Previous/Reset: DD-WRT v3.0-r ~32000 / Reset is Yes, Reason unknown password
Mode/Status: Wireless/working with vanilla, LAN working,
Issues/Errors: G5 oddness with wireless FIRMWARE as DD-WRT
I work from home and have been using a NetGear 7800 Nighthaek x4S running r40270M kongat.
I wanted to upgrade and could not be down, so I bought another 7800 Nighthaek x4S off of ebay.
I was expecting a NetGear OS but received a DD-WRT OS (around ~32,000) and a non-working password.
I reset the unit and upgraded to v3.0-r52095.
Everything went smoothly except I couldn’t see 5g on any of several APPLE devices. I was using DD-WRT FIRMWARE TYPE.
Wireless Channel AUTO
WireNetwork Mode MIXED, AC / NC Mixed
Channel Width Full (20 MHz)
and various other combinations.
Domain under advanced was UNITED_STATES
I kept getting channels at 168 or 171. In looking at the staus I could see transmation being made but of course no incoming.
I finally switched to vanilla and 5g now works.
The firmware upgade to v3.0-r52095 for a NetGear 7800 Nighthaek x4S was successful once switching to Vanilla.
LAN Speed has went up about 10-15% and Wireless is working much better than at r40270M.
