Hi,

I've just set up my R7800 (R52054) running:

PPPoE w/VLAN tagging,
VAP on separate bridge
Wireguard using PBR (with above VAP)

Out of the box I get around 650Mbps but the connection is capable of 900+Mbps.

So to try to get a bit more speed I have enabled SFE and everything seem(!) to run as it should and I get 900+.

I have done some reading and I have seen multiple posts saying SFE wont work in the above setup and SFE will disable itself if I try to run it.. It doesnt (or hasnt, so far)..

Those threads might not be relevant any more, and any issues might have been resolved..

So I ask here, is it "safe" to use SFE with the above setup? Should it work?

Are there any other downsides with enabling SFE?

You can get routing errors with your setup using SFE, see:
