I used a TL-WR841ND v8 like wifi client for many years.
Today it doesn't connect to the main router.
Maybe radio module is broken?
How do i understand?
If it started out of the blue then a hardware malfunction could be the problem.
First try with a simple reboot, power down and after 10 seconds power up.
After reset I think it's work...
Now I am running a DLINK wifi extender.
Is it possible to use the TL-WR841ND like a DHCP server only?
I don't like with the DLINK extender all my device have the same IP 192.168.1.X like the main router but I want my lan is separate how I did with DDWRT before...
Is it possible?

Yes, just disable the wifi on the TP-Link.
Wireless - Basic Settings
Change the Network mode to disabled, it will then act as a DHCP server and wired LAN switch. QoS and Firewall still works because NAT is enabled. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.

Ok thank you but where I connect the cable from wifi extender? in WAN port or normal port?
And the cable to my switch?

The LAN cable from the wifi extender goes into one of the regular Ethernet ports on the 841. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.
