This may be because you are using unbridged interfaces like VAPs?
I have never been able to activate this with unbridged VAPs so I can't test this quickly without deleting my VAPs.
and I have an unbridged VAP, so I guess I am in the same place. No harm, and nothing malfunctioning. Just wondered. _________________ Netgear R9000

I had the same experience a few months ago, no SFE with unbridged VAPS. I was told that this is a feature. Now I have bridged VAPs (properly isolated for IoT) and SFE is enabled.

That is really bad advice (besides you cannot isolate bridged VAP's, bridged in the meaning that the interfaces are bridged to the same bridge).
When using virtual interfaces SFE is disabled for a reason (and yes you can manually enable it again).
SFE is a kind of shortcut and when using virtual interfaces this shortcut can get confused and can route traffic to the wrong interface.
If and when this happens is dependant on the traffic.

@egc I never said that they are on the same bridge (br0). Actually I put them on a separate bridge, vlan+vap. I used your instructions (Having fun...). Btw, a sincere thank you for this. Do your further reservations regarding SFE still hold in this case?
Also, for unbridged vap, you can manually enable SFE, but it gets disabled again.

Yes you can have the same problems in your setup as you have one real and one virtual interface.
But as said if and when you get into trouble is dependant on traffic/clients.
As the kids are on university I have a household of two and most things are wired.
I once tried it with SFE enabled (I have a VAP for a few IoT things) for a couple of weeks without any apparent problem but I do not need SFE as my R7800 does about 800 Mb also without SFE so I have it disabled.

SFE is a kind of shortcut and when using virtual interfaces this shortcut can get confused and can route traffic to the wrong interface.
If and when this happens is dependant on the traffic.
If there is only one client which alternates its traffic between interfaces it will work, but multiple users using all interfaces (and especially starting traffic at the same time) it could produce strange routing errors.
So, I'll leave that one alone. It is off for a reason, a good reason, and I plan on keeping my VAP _________________ Netgear R9000

Router working good. I have some yellow marked events in log. I'm attach logs for fix possible issues.
I followed the link to gitub. There's an issue discussion the missing repo with a link to a new repo.
I did too and intentionally did not link it as they are not the originals, but compiled from source by somebody else.
The old website of course is legit, also I matched softpedia mirror file against a previous download from bitbucket.
The original page/placeholder was tftpd32.jounin.net, which pointed to http://philippe.jounin.pagesperso-orange.fr/tftpd32_download.html and now points to https://pjo2.github.io/tftpd64/ ... next up, how we replaced vacuum tube computers with silicon chips <lol> _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Thank you, but this fun fact has nothing to do with original matter or unofficial compilations linked in github issues.
The chocolatey packages also match original bitbucket repository downloads of zip portables before it disappeared.
