but maybe you should try the latest and not a version one year old. there was alot done over time. there might be a issue using the distance setting. so set a distance which is higher than expected like 8000 if you have latency issues.
i use the ddwrt firmware as wds sta / ap link and as standard ap firmware every day. i dont know what your issue is

i said a month, not a year, but i tried again on the latest working build. same old, ddwrt radio is still a mess. increasing ack timing to something that high just makes everything worse.. dont believe me guess a video is needed.. nothing changes except vanilla fw -> ddwrt. everything goes from fast and low latency, high jittery throughput and latency...

I will ignore this build of course. Which build is most stable before this one?

depends from things and services you run on your router and what router you have...for me on 1043v2 this build is stable..you can see what i run on it in my signature... Rolling Eyes

But, as its obvious that some others are complaining of no stable wifi and no ssh or bad correlation with OpenVPN client/server on the same router...or some WDS AP/client issues...

So, as much info you provide that better the answer would be... Cool 51937 should be the one before the dramatic changes...but new build is dew soon so....patience is a virtue Laughing

This shit NO worky for me ..keeps dropping 2.4 clients & takes forever to reconnect.
NO, logs don't show much nothing.
Although the 5GHz seemed all good.
******************
I set both radios back to VANILLA 'Saved' and rebooted router all thru GUI.
That's when it all really went to shit --- Router NEVER came back up
NO nothing. Turned off power switch & back on still nothing come up.
Wish I would have known this crap. Rolling Eyes Woulda been much easier to boot her back into previous--restore it to all good.

Glad I still have the oldass 2nd WNDR3700v4 r51887 config as main.

ain't near the speed as EA8500 messin 'round on my LAN but will worky till I get time to do button reset & resort earlier build backup on her Twisted Evil

1. ddwrt ath10k is just bad
2. upon going to vanilla ath10k, the the radio fw goes into a crash loop now

I just wanted to add another affected router.

DLink DIR-862 A1
GUI upgrade to r51976
WDS Station on 2.4GHz
AP mode on 5Ghz
Vanilla driver - 5GHz never comes up, says channel unknown, power 0dBm, etc on Wireless Status page.

I never bothered to even try the other models.

Module Vlan.asp (switch configuration) is fixed for Tp_link TL-WDR3600? In any newer version than r51589, this module crashes the router. If we have our own port configuration, the router is unavailable on the GUI/SSH. Internet connection does not work. Currently I'm sticking with the build "DD-WRT v 3.0 r51589. This is the last stable version where all functions work fine. I'm looking through topics on the forum and I see that recent builds have bugs and are not fully functional.

Router: Netgear R7800
Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r51976 std (03/08/23)
Previous: GUI upgrade from DD-WRT v3.0-r51937 std (03/05/23)
Reset: No.
Status: Gateway / PPPoE, WAN MAC Clone, 5 GHz Mixed 80 MHz Vanilla AP, Port Forwarding, Static Leases, Wireless MAC Filter, NTP

Errors: Completely broke after update. Could not access the GUI, SSH or Telnet. No WIFI, no WAN connection. LAN still worked, could access other devices on the network.

Thought maybe it was a bad flash or gremlins from not doing a reset for so long. In hopes of fixing this, I did a hard reset and TFTP'd r51976 again. Was successful. Configured all my settings again. Hit save each time. Once I was done, I rebooted. Same problem showed up. No GUI, SSH, Telnet, WIFI or WAN connection.

Reverted back to r51937. Had to configure all my settings again for a second time. Everything works now. All of this cost me my WAN traffic data of two years. I had no backup of it.

First rule: before flashing a new version, create a backup.

If the new firmware version does not work as desired, flash the last working version and then restore the backup.

This takes only 5min

With all the issues being reported, wouldn't it be best to pull this build?
