I assume this might be due to a horrible lack of understading - sorry.

Current setup: OPNsense router and DD-WRT AP with a trunkport between them. The VLAN's sort of work, but I have connection issues and OPNsense is flooding IP conflict messages for addresses (ex 192.168.3.1) when DD-WRT is connected.

The examples I can find searching seems to have bridging set up like me, but I can't figure out why DD-WRT seems to cause IP conflicts and issues for traffic between VLAN's.

Is the issue related to the IP address defined in the bridge? Example:
IP: 192.168.3.1
Mask: 255.255.255.0

I figured that just ment: bridge traffic for 192.168.3.0/24? Does the AP occupy one IP per bridge?

Sorry, figured it was an obvious config mistake that was't affected by environment.

Current release:

https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/betas/2023/02-28-2023-r51887/netgear-r7800/

Where to find firmware to download

You will want to reset to defaults after upgrading via button, DD-WRT webUI, or nvram erase && reboot via telnet or ssh, and reconfigure from scratch. Suggested to save current config pages for reference.

What is the IP addresses used on the OPNsense router?

I would have used 192.168.3.1 on OPNsense and 192.168.3.2 for dd-wrt
Repeat for each VLAN/Bridge i.e 192.168.1.2, 192.168.2.2 etc.
