I would like to revive an old Fonera 2100A. It had DD-WRT v24-sp2-r21061 (03/25/13) installed.

When I updated to the latest v3.0-r51576 (very optimistic) it failed. I don't have a serial console running yet, so I cant tell why it failed.

By trial and error I found some releases that were able to start the web interface. I haven't tested any other functionality yet.

These releases could be booted:
v24-sp2-r21061 (03/25/13)
v3.0-r29218M std (03/07/16)
v3.0-r30949 std (12/15/16)
v3.0-r38155 std (12/31/18)
v3.0-r41813 std (12/29/19)
v3.0-r42819 std (03/30/20)
v3.0-r43306 std (05/31/20)
v3.0-r43397 std (06/13/20)
v3.0-r43443 std (06/17/20)
v3.0-r43471 std (06/19/20)

These ones failed to boot:
v3.0-r43516 std (06/25/20)
v3.0-r44700 std (10/30/20)
v3.0-r44715 std (11/03/20)
v3.0-r45219 std (12/31/20)
v3.0-r51576 std (02/04/23)

I would like to install Micro RedBoot. The Fonera 2100A is AR51 design, has 16MB of RAM and 8MB of flash. So prefix RedBoot_AP51_16M_8M_??? looks like a good candidate.

But there are four switch variants to download: Kendin (Realtek), ADMtek, Micrel, Marvell

In addition there a two directories which have identical RedBoot files names but different sizes:
https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/redboot_collection/
https://download1.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv2/downloads/others/redboot_collection/images_default/

Which one should I choose for the Fonera 2100A?

It takes a *REALLY* long time for the flash to process when done correctly. No reports of bad flashes since the last time this was looked at.

Thank you for the links.

I faced the radio failure with some builds as well.

I'm pretty sure there was no problem when flashing which took very long as you stated. I had enabled keepalives to prevent the telnet session into RedBoot from timing out.

Before I do much more testing I will add a serial console to be able to check messages when booting.

However I would like to install the Micro RedBoot also and don't know which one prefixed with RedBoot_AP51_16M_8M_??? to choose. Since I don't want to brick the device I would prefer to use the correct image.
