Hi,

I'd like to not pay for two high speed services.

Is it possible to connect a DD-WRT router to my 5G mobile phone if I turn tethering/hotspot on?

I'm wondering if they can be connected wirelessly?

Thanks Lee

(I know I can connect directly, but I'd like to keep the various services of a proper router, but use my 5G phone for connectivity.

Ooh - thanks egc

I have a DD-WRT second router, so I am totally going to experiment with my current 4G phone while I wait for my BT contract to expire.

hmmm, there was an option to plug in your phone directly to the router instead...(USBport) like proper Iphone tethring...but never used it/tried it...and there was a mucking on it in the past...about iOS14
a WAN interface option(tethring) on basic setup page...(i haven't check that for ages...for a known reasons)...I just dont change those settings that often..

there is a god know how old/how accurate wiki for androids and ect.

best bet (google is your friend)... https://duckduckgo.com/?q=dd+wrt+usb+tether&t=ffab&ia=web

otherwise stick to the egc suggestion...
