Could someone explain to me how I would setup the raid storage for sata drives in my x86? I just don't want to mess anything up and lose my stuff.

if you are wanting raid on DD-WRT... I doubt it would be supported since that is not meant for routers

I seen it was an option on the interface and thought about doing it so I don't lose all my movies and files I have on the nas.

It may be only the x86 firmwares, but RAID is supported.

well I had no idea, but I just found it under the NAS options... there is RAID setup

It looks like it is an interface... so what you would do is select each device and partition it based on what settings you want and then add it to the RAID array... All in the gui...

Linear and stripe are raid 0
mirror is raid 1

I see there is also ZFS and BTRFS.

I will have to put some drives in a play a little bit... maybe this weekend?

I'm going to do the same with some spare drives I guess. If this works it will be fantastic.
