I have a Netgear r6700v3 router running v49532 that no longer responds to shutdown.
Specifically,
Running 'Reboot' from the GUI fails to do anything
Running 'reboot' from the command line just hangs

When either happens, the following processes are running:
Code:
19828 root     startservice run_rc_shutdown
19829 root     /sbin/service run_rc_shutdown start
19830 root     {.rc_shutdown} /bin/sh /tmp/.rc_shutdown
19832 root     {.rc_shutdown} /bin/sh /tmp/.rc_shutdown

I can then force the shutdown if I manually "kill -KILL" the *first* /tmp/.rc_shutdown process.
Looking at the scripts, it seems that they get stuck on the command:
Code:
mount | cut -f1 -d ' ' | grep /dev/sd[a-z][0-9]

Specifically on the pipe to grep.
The pipe will execute if I put quotes around the "/dev/sd[a-z][0-9]" component.

So several questions:
    Why is shutdown/reboot failing?
Why are there 2 copies of /tmp/.rc_shutdown running
Why does the unquoted grep cause things to hang (that same statement runs just fine on my regular Linux machine but fails on all my DD-WRT routers)
Why is this just now happening but until now it all worked fine

This is now happening on all 4 of my Netgear r6700v3 routers.
The only change I made since a few days when this didn't happen is inserting a USB disk which lies on /dev/sda

Very stumped here...

Note I diagnosed and solved this in a revamped posting:
https://forum.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=333796

There is a bug in DDWRT code... as per that revised posting

You could have left discussion in one thread; and again, you are going to be told to upgrade to current release, because the issue may have already been fixed since that release.

Never mind - it was do to my own mis-hacking that created that bug.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
