Hello all,
I haven't worked with DD-WRT in a while and I'm a bit overwhelmed by the amount of information available. I currently have a TP-Link ARCHER-C7 v5 router and I'm looking for the latest working version of DD-WRT for it. I've seen that version 01-09-2023-r51275/tplink_archer-c7-v5 is available, but I'm not sure if it's compatible with my router.
I also recall that there was an issue with the firmware size being too large for certain routers.
I don't want to brick my router, so I would greatly appreciate any information or guidance that anyone can provide.

I do have this router but it is not currently in use. If you wish, I can upgrade it just for you. The build will fit, I just checked the file size against the last version I downloaded, Oct 2022 sometime. The files are almost the same size. _________________ Before asking a question on the forums, update dd-wrt: Where do I download firmware? I suggest reading it all.

If you or nobody else doesn't flash and report on the latest firmware release, we will never know. That's how this community works. Too many lurkers and non-contributors and we wind up with useless threads like this. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Seems like nobody has tried it. I too, have the same issue as the OP @moonrise, new TP-Link Archer C7 v5 US firmware, wanting to flash a stable DD-WRT build for my router. This is my only home router, so do not want to end up with a bricked or less capable device. Thanks to anyone who replies, please.
I've been upgrading my C7v5 at the beginning of each month with the latest build at that moment w/o any issues. I use it as an AP/Gateway Wifi and Wifi guest. I use the vanilla firmware for the 5Gz band. That may be the only issue but was identified in first week of dd-wrt use. So at least seven or eight consecutive successful updates so far.

Be advised that there are various quirks that may arise on any build but that is why you monitor the build thread for your router hardware. _________________ ARCHER-C7v5 | v3.0-r55460 std | AP Gateway
