than again if not using DNSmasq, but only SmartDNS you better not use anything regarding servers in advanced DNSmasq, although it shouldn't be a problem...i guess..


Thanks. I got it working. I put the IP on the setup page and used the server= format in SmartDNS. I hope others learn from this thread.

SmartDNS format for adding plain servers is like
server 1.1.1.1 ....so there is no '='

if you want really good and low latency dns encrypted expirience, try NextDNS CLI

they have 300000/montly requests free dns plan...
