Hi everyone, I own a WRT1900AC (v1) flashed with DD-WRT r50963 (11/28/22)
I recently restored settings to factory defaults, and I am having difficulty setting up my WiFi network. My devices keep disconnecting after a few minutes. All I have done is change the SSID, and enable WPA2 + AES.
Is there a page for recommended wifi settings on this device somewhere? Thanks.
No, there is no Marvell-specific wifi guide and probably never will be because reasons. Wifi settings are much discussed in this area of the forum, and I'm feeling like a lazy ass bloated menstruating bitch, so I won't be helpful and link all the threads for you. Maybe some kind soul who is the reasons why there is no sticky or reference that is Marvell-specific will chime in with the magic voodoo. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

A little more context for anyone who might help: I've had this router for some time. I have performed multiple DD-WRT firmware updates, and I'm pretty sure I've reverted to default settings at least once. Wifi has worked reliably until now. Previously I had the 2.4GHz and the 5GHz radios on different SSIDs, but I read somewhere that best practice is to put them on the same SSID.

Best practice for generic routers maybe. But in the Marvell forum separate SSIDs are favored by many. If things worked for you with them separate, try that again! _________________ Netgear XR500 on 52369, 4x Linksys WRT1900ACSv2 on 51530: VLANs, VAPs, NAS, station mode, OpenVPN client (AirVPN), wireguard server (AirVPN port forward) and clients (AzireVPN, AirVPN, private), 3 DNSCrypt providers via VPN.

Which is not true; don't know where you read that. Even modern gateway wifi routers provided by ISPs do not (always) use the same SSID for 2.4 and 5GHz bands by default. _________________ "The woods are lovely, dark and deep,

Okay, I have put the two radios on separate SSIDs but I am still having problems. Some devices work for a while, but then disconnect; some devices refuse to connect. Any help appreciated.
EDIT: screenshots removed cuz I'm an idiot and keep posting sensitive details

I use these settings without problems on wrt1900acs v2 _________________ Internet provider https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RCS_%26_RDS 1Gbps

Have you checked to make sure you are using valid channels? I had an issue where certain devices worked but others didn't and then realized I set my 5G wifi to an invalid channel configuration. See https://wiki.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/QCA_wireless_settings
Thank you very much, oliver44 removing the SHA256 option from the security settings and rebooting the router has done the trick (radios still on separate SSIDs).
